tailored design
Ashley Consultants listen to and involve Clients in all aspects of the design process. Interpreting a Clients' conception of the finished product is critical to the design process, as is ensuring that the design will satisfy the Planning Authorities.
It is very important that design is thoroughly considered and Clients have the clearest picture as possible of what ‘they’ are about to create. Buildings also have to be easy to use. There are many aspects of design that can make the living environment a comfortable, friendly and simple environment. It sounds straightforward, for example, a kitchen is generally considered best located adjacent to, or linked to, a dining room. However, does a kitchen have to be next to a utility room? The project maybe to extend or renovate an existing property, but it is important that the existing use of the building is considered within the proposed scheme. Considering how the building is used now and how its use is envisaged in the future is very important to the design process. The best extensions/alterations are the ones where you cannot see the ‘Join Line’ on either the external or internal fabric of the construction. Buildings should be allowed to aesthetically flow and comfortably function on completion. |
